Meet Our TEAM

Dr. Blair Taylor

Co-Executive Director and Co-Founder

Dr. Taylor is an award-winning educator with 25+ years’ experience in academia. She is a national expert in cybersecurity education and curriculum development. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Towson University, she has received over $8 million of external funding. She worked with NSA’s College of Cyber as a Subject Matter Expert on long-term strategies to increase the pipeline of qualified students and build the nations’ cyber workforce.

Dr. Sidd Kaza

Co-Executive Director and Co-Founder

Dr. Kaza is the Director of the Cyber4All center at Towson University. He is passionate about cybersecurity education, learning sciences, data mining, and application development. He was one of the primary authors of the  ACM/IEEE  Cybersecurity Curriculum Guidelines (CSEC 2017). Dr. Kaza is the TU Maryland E-Nnovation Endowed Professor of Cybersecurity, and has received the University System of Maryland Regents Award for Teaching. Dr. Kaza received his Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.

Paige Zaleppa

Director of Operations

Paige coordinates business operations at SecurEd and manages the content intake and review for all products. She was nominated for Technical Leader of the Year by Baltimore in 2020. She received her Bachelor’s in Information Systems and Master’s in Computer Science from Towson University.

Emily Vogel

Michael Franz

Systems Engineer

Michael manages the development and maintenance of CLARK and CARD in addition to other projects at SecurEd. He has earned his Bachelor’s of Information Systems and Master’s of Computer Science from Towson University. In addition to his role at SecurEd, Michael is a co-founder of a web3 startup company.

Christopher Wagner

Development Security Operations Engineer

Chris is an undergraduate student at Towson University majoring in Computer Science focusing on Cyber Operations and minoring in Mathematics. He enjoys working alongside other ambitious developers to create practical applications. When he isn’t developing, he spends his time volunteering as a Young Life Leader and a drummer in his local church’s worship band.

Shannon Ioffe

Julia Depuy

Project Manager

Julia is an undergraduate exercise science student who will attend physical therapy school after she graduates. She is president of the exercise science club at Towson University and participates in research on campus. In her free time, Julia enjoys hiking, reading, and going to the beach.

Josue Molina Morales

Software Architect

Josue is an undergraduate student at Towson University majoring in Computer Science with a track in Software Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Josue has helped students at Anne Arundel Community College as a Supplemental Instructor in Computer Science courses and will be a software engineer intern at T. Rowe Price this summer. In his free time, Josue enjoys playing basketball, going on hikes, and playing video games.

Joshua Ouyporn

Joshua is a recent graduate from Towson University with a BS in Information Systems with a track in Interface Design. They have a passion for user accessibility and project management, typically focusing on how to best assist end users in product comprehension. While not working, Joshua likes to spend time reading, hiking, making artwork, and cooking.

Katelyn Blomquist

Junior Software Developer

Katelyn is an undergraduate student at Towson University majoring in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering. In addition to working with SecurEd, Katelyn owns and operates a character entertainment company based in Baltimore, MD. When she isn’t working, Katelyn enjoys singing and watching Disney movies.

Mary Grace Lucas

K12 Quality Advocate

Mary Grace is an undergraduate student at Towson University pursuing a degree in Computer and Mathematical Sciences Secondary Education with Towson’s UTeach program. She hopes to become a computer science teacher and wants to introduce children of all ages to computer science, programming, and cyber security. Mary Grace enjoys playing video games, crocheting, and baking.

Samuel Smith

Development Assistant

Samuel is an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies at Towson University. He is president of Undergraduate Research Club and conducts research in the Sexual & Gender Identity Lab at Towson University. He is planning on receiving his PhD in Psychology after graduation. In his free time, Samuel enjoys running, lifting weights, and reading.

Blair is an undergraduate student at Towson University majoring in Information Systems with a track in interface design, projected to graduate in Spring of 2023. She is passionate about technology and takes a special interest in UI/UX design and project management. In her free time, Blair enjoys reading, playing video games, listening to music, baking, and playing with her dog.

Andy Stoerkel

Software Developer

Andy is a Senior Software Engineering track major, with an interest in Linux systems and Python development and has a passion for supporting open-source software. He’s currently writing his own Python module to automate test writing. In his free time he enjoys playing video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and writing.

Paulo Manalo

Software Developer

Paulo is a senior undergraduate student at Towson University majoring in Computer Science with a track in Software Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. He is President for the Filipino Cultural Association at Towson (FCAT) and enjoys volleyball in his free time.

Junior Software Developer

Maliya Baxter is a undergraduate student studying computer science at Towson University. Maliya is also founder and president of the club Sister Scripters at Towson University that aims to support and encourage African American women studying in the tech fields to reach their professional, personal and academic goals. In her freetime Maliya enjoys reading, shopping and going to museums.

Shannon is an undergraduate student at Towson University majoring in Computer Science. When she is not collaborating with the team to complete relevancy reviews, she manages our security injections collection, keeping the modules neat and up to date. Outside of work Shannon enjoys going to the gym, spending time with family, and traveling to new places.
